Presenting all the data that we have in its raw form is a recipe for disaster. We believe in having a carefully curated view that shows you the essentials, having already done the analysis and trial and error on your behalf.
This is one of the features that the current AirBnB app does not promote or facilitate. The app being a very good starting point, does not give any suggestions or recommendations based on your needs. We are here to change that - based on the selections made, the recommendations will be highly focused to your case and requirements.
The selections that our view would require are the destination and the type of traveler you are. And it's that simple. Two clicks and you have the best accommodations lining up for you!
The Holy Grail of Finding your best Accommodation
The main view of the tool would showcase a map street view for the selections made on the place of travel and the category you belong to:
budget traveler
value for money traveler
luxurious traveler
According to the selections we find the best neighborhood for you and display the listings as markers with the color indicating if the place is available for the next 30 days.
The next view is populated according to the selection made previously and ranks the neighborhood according to the rating. The total number of listings influence this metric. This helps to change the map view with only a neighborhood according to the best rated one. As a future adaptation we intend on including tourism aspects to this data and make that an influencer.
Say you have already imagined a luxurious villa and sipping peach Bellinis by the pool, now you need to figure out which city is best for that - we got you covered - with this plot.
This view compares the price of different properties across cities - so just in case villas are a little above your budget, maybe boutique hotel might just do the trick! Or if you're sure about a Villa, then hire one in Antwerp rather than Brussels to get a better deal!
As a further implementation, this view will compare the price with adjacent cities to the selection and gives a alternate package for your travel. Say, you like to have a Guest house for more space and privacy and looking at Brussels as your place to go but the our app would show a price average for different property type and help you choose Ghent or Antwerp which saves more than half of it's cost. This is what we feel is a intelligent system that would trade cost for a little extra time to the destination.
The next view for example, just knowing the host is a super-host gives little in terms of assurance - but when combined with our calculated variables like "oomph factor" and their experience score, you are guaranteed to have only the creme de la creme to choose from.
Here we have the final view that will help you select your accommodation. The markers on this map will have different shading and different colors to help you choose the oomph factor and the availability of that listing for the days you are interested in.
